Walmart Dashboard
A customizable dashboard tailored for QA Managers
Overview
I led the design of a dashboard for Walmart’s Supply Chain Associates' Experience team, unifying multiple apps to improve efficiency and centralize critical data. By streamlining key tools and insights, it simplified tasks and enhanced the warehouse experience.
The challenge was to create a flexible, customizable, and user-friendly interface that met diverse warehouse needs, optimizing workflows and decision-making.

Problem Statement
How might we make ICQA tasks more efficient for warehouse associates, supervisors, and managers by centralizing key information and improving visibility?
DISCOVERY
Understanding warehouse challenges
I worked along with the UX Researcher to identify key user pain points, including disjointed apps that required users to switch between multiple applications to complete tasks, isolated data that made comparisons difficult, and manual processes that introduced inefficiencies and slowed down decision-making. 🔍📊
Users needed
A single platform for managing ICQA-related tasks.
A customizable experience that adapts to their workflow.
Clear, real-time insights to support operational decisions.

DEFINE
From Insights to Action
Using insights from the research phase, the ideation process involved framing "How Might We" (HMW) questions to generate creative solutions. This phase transformed research findings into actionable design concepts. 🚀
Using the HMWs as input, I collaborated with the Product Manager to frame user stories. Additionally, I utilized ChatGPT to assist in the features ideation phase. I assessed, refined, modified, and incorporated new information, consistently applying critical thinking ✨ to evaluate outputs generated by the AI tool. I used the following prompt for this purpose:

ideation
Simplifying UI with modular design
To address the business goal of creating a customizable dashboard, I leveraged the benchmarks I collected to develop a Dashboard UI kit and a series of widgets in various sizes 🎯. These widgets are designed to meet diverse needs and can be modified and adjusted to real data later. For now, they serve as a guide and provide visual direction. 🖥️

PROTOTYPE
Interactive widgets, intuitive workflows
I mapped out key workflows, focusing on both the first-time experience and ongoing use. For first-time users, I designed flows for setting up a new dashboard, adding and rearranging widgets, saving views, and navigating onboarding 🚀. For ongoing use, I created workflows for editing and switching views, as well as managing multiple dashboards. Interactive prototypes were developed to validate these workflows and refine the user experience. 🧑💻
Testing
Validating the user experience
Early usability testing revealed significant improvements, including faster task completion thanks to consolidated data 📊, increased adoption due to positive feedback on customization and ease of use, and reduced friction with fewer errors in task management workflows. These insights informed iterative refinements before the final implementation. 🚀
Impact
A smarter, more efficient supply chain
The ICQA dashboard successfully transformed supply chain operations by:
Boosting productivity by streamlining navigation.
Improving decision-making with real-time data.
Empowering users through personalization.

next steps
What's next?
As the ICQA dashboard continues to evolve, our focus will be on:
Enhancing data visuals for clearer insights.
Adding predictive analytics to boost efficiency.
Using feedback for ongoing improvements.
